THE DAY THE EARTH STOOD STILL
I can remember EXACTLY what I was doing that awful day, do you???
Why not share your story in our comments, I would love to hear it :)
While we are on the subject of world's changing....I have some sad news for our faithful
followers of StitchyBear Digital Stamps...The store as we knew it is now gone ;(
We had some technical difficulties yesterday and after hours of working on it, there
was no recovering it...so, with all that said..please keep an eye open for the
New and Improved StitchyBear Digital Stamps
As the World Trade Center's are being rebuilt, so will StitchyBear Digital Stamps :)
Enough with the news, on with the show .....lol

I remember today as I do every year and always say a silent prayer. I am British and now a Canadian and feel so heartfelt for the American people that it affected and still affects. I was at an adult Education Center doing a computer course at that moment and I remember a few people gathered around the big screen tv in the main room. I thought they were watching a movie until one of them told me what was going on. I left school and went home and cried--it was so horrific. Big Hugs and love go out to everyone today

Fantastic cards ladies, great challenge, thanks!
I can remember it well too. I was pregnant at the time with my first born. I was on the bus on my way home from work as I was on the 6 to 2 shift. My partner had got on the bus further up the road form me as he had been to his dads. He said to me "have you heard about the twin towers in America". To be honest I had never heard of them before that day. My heart goes out to all who have been affected by such a tragedy. Good luck getting the store up and running again hun..Im making stamps to add as I speak xx
I was sat doing some work at the computer my Daughter had TV on & said mum a plane has crashed into the twin tower, by the time i went through to see what she had said when I saw the second plane hit. I agree with what you said the Earth did stand still, people got out alive how incredible. I live in the UK and you cannot realise the devistation that was caused that day.
Thanks for the challenge & the lovely inspiration
This day is a special day for me too. I remamber it as it was yesterday. My grandmother died the same day after long time batteling with sickness. I remember she had just taken her last breath and e few minutes later when we all had taken our time to say goodbye, we went out of her room at the elder center. In the common room the tv was on and i just saw plane #2 crash into the twin tower. It didn`t sink in that this actually was happening. I thought someone was watching a movie. But sadly no...it was horribly real. To this day i still can`t understand what makes someone capable to do something like this. My heart goes out to everyone touched by this evil. We will never forget.
Hugs...Mona
