Liz and the Gang at Stitchy Bear Challenges xx
Okay let's see if we can get all this right.
CLiff Richard sang Congratulations in Celebrations. I think the year was 1968. Back up band was The Shadows. Cliff was born in 1940 and is 70 this year. His name may remind people of a spider because he had a song called Spider Man. Did I get them all right?
Fabulous projects from the DT. Thanks so much for the inspiration!
I was completely clueless on this song and had to Google it! lol
1. 'Sir' Cliff Richard
2. He Sang Congratulations in 1968
3. Backup band was The Shadows (aka the Drifters?)
4. He was born in 1940 and just turned 70
5. He was born with the last name Webb (making you think of spiders!) :)
Lovely challenge!! I love the Nativity card best!! Oho I was going to marry Cliff when I was 8!!
Sir Cliff Richards was born in Indian as Harry Rodger Webb, in 1940.(hence 'spider' although he did sing a song called Spiderman) so he must be 70! He sang Congratulations in the 1968 Eurovision Song Contest which took place on 6th April in the Royal Albert Hall in London. His backing group can only be the one and only Shadows!!
Gorgeous DT projects, as always :)
My answers for the quiz are - Cliff Richard (although the song is just called Congratulations :P), 1968, The Shadows (still are his backing group), DOB 14 October 1940, so he just turned 70, and his real name is Harry Webb :D
It was Cliff Richard who Sang Congratulations, It was released in 1968 with The Shadows as his backing group. He was born in 1940 so was 70 the other week and he is Harry Roger Webb hence the spider thought!!! He is amazing live as I have seen him a few times!!!!!!
Fab blog - only just found you here! My answers are as follows~
1. Cliff Richard
3. The Shadows
4. 14th October 1940 which makes him 70 years old!
5. He was born Harry Webb - webb>spiders yuk!!
This was great fun so pls have another one very soon! Sheila:)X
